Lung Function Test

We offer lung function testing in multiple locations across Victoria.

The lung function laboratories are staffed by trained respiratory scientists who can perform a variety of tests to assist in the investigation of lung disease.

Patients breathe into a machine which measures various aspects of breathing capacity. Lung function testing is performed while seated and does not involve exercise.

GP’s and specialists are able to refer directly for a variety of lung function tests including:

• Spirometry
• Gas transfer measurement
• Measurement of static lung volumes
• Mannitol bronchial provocation testing
