Making an appointment
To make an appointment with one of the Lung and Sleep Victoria doctors, patients must have a valid referral from either their GP or specialist.

- Previous x-rays or CT scans
- Any other relevant tests, incuding blood tests or sleep studies
Preparing For Your Consultation
For patients attending with allergy disorders, please do not have any anti-histamines for 4 days prior to the appointment. Commonly used anti-histamines include cetirizine, desloratidine, fexofenadine, levocetirizine, and loratidine. Less commonly used anti-histamines include chlorpheniramine, cyproheptadine, dexchlorpheniramine, and promethazine. There is no need to stop inhaled steroids.
For patients attending for respiratory disorders it is probable that lung function testing will be needed. If safe, please do not have any Ventolin or Bricanyl within 4 hours of your appointment. Anoro, Breo, Bretaris, Brimica, DuoResp, Incruse, Onbrez, Oxis, Seebri, Seretide, Spiolto, Symbicort, Trelegy and Ultibro should not be taken for 12 hours.
